Glisten & Glow ~ Hand + Nail Nutrition

                                                                     *Provided for review

Good morning!! Just when I thought I had found my holy grail skin ritual, I get a message from Jill.  I was super excited to be chosen from so many talented, beautiful ladies in the nail community. I was also freaking out a little because I love her stuff! I have used Glisten & Glow top coat for years. It is basically the only top coat I use unless I say otherwise. It just CANNOT be beat. I have also used other products from G&G that have always been amazing. This new Hand + Nail Nutrition is no different.

Hand + Nail Nutrition is one of those amazing "you have to try for yourself" products. It is unlike anything I have tried before. The formula is very thin. It only takes a tiny bit for both hands to be fully covered. H+NN is super packed with wonderful ingredients that deeply hydrate and protect your skin. I don't drink nearly enough water and usually it shows. With this, my hands looked fresh and totally quenched. It actually helped smooth my nails a little. I have some crazy bumps and ridges and this seems to have evened that out a little. See for yourself...

Keep in mind that this was Thanksgiving weekend as well, I did so much cooking and so many dishes. I didn't change a thing in my normal daily schedule. I also swatched and used acetone like crazy! H+NN works even better when paired with the G&G cuticle oil. I would use the H+NN first and let it soak in for maybe a minute or two. I then added a good coating of the cuticle oil and rubbed that in. I did this 3-5 times a day when I had a free few minutes, not until bed on Thanksgiving. So now that you have seen the proof, lets get to the deets!

The Hand + Nail Nutrition is available now HERE. There are 2 sizes and 2 scents. The sizes are .5 oz. for $6.50 and 2 oz. for $14.00. The scents offered are Unscented and their signature scent, Sangria White Peach. I will leave an ingredients list below for anyone who cares to check it out!! So what are you waiting for? I treat my hands awfully and they look great right now because of this miracle in a jar! Go give it a try and come back and tell me what you think!! Have a great day friendos!!

**Ingredients: water, vitamin e oil, jojoba oil, aloe barbadenis, rosehip oil, vitamin a, kelp extract, neem oil, vegetable glycerin, castor oil, wheat germ oil, keratin complex, panthenol, oat protein, coconut oil, beeswax, steric acid, emulsifying wax, SDC, MSM, citric acid, potassium, and fragrance (or not).

Nails of the day!

Hello! I would like to start sharing more posts so I figured NOTD posts are a pretty good place to start. Short and sweet :) For my first NOTD post I have some neon, holo, and glitter! The turquoise linear holo polish is Swerve from Liquid Sky Lacquer. Super smooth and opaque. 2 thin coats with a coat of Sally Hansen Color Frenzy textured glitter polish in Green Machine. The neon green polish is Grass Is Lime Greener from China Glaze. This polish takes 3 coats. Not the best formula :/  I used regular scotch tape to make the triangle shape. Before I removed the tape, I stamped a random line design using Pueen stamping plate pueen05. I then added a silver square stud. Topped it all with what else but Glisten & Glow's HK Girl fast drying & super shiny top coat! Hope you enjoy my NOTD!!

With flash.

Please excuse the hair! 3 furbabies does that lol!

Nail art April challenge

Hi everyone! I have debated doing this for a while but I think I finally convinced myself to just do it. Every month on Instagram there are a bunch of nail art challenges. I participated in my first challenge in March. I didn't think to blog about it so I didn't save any of those pictures. I did do April and that's what I will show you here. I am doing 2 challenges for May which I will also be sharing with you. Hopefully I can stick with it and keep posting my pictures because I really do want to work on my art! Is this something you do on Instagram? I would love to know who else does these monthly art challenges!! Let me know in the comments and enjoy my attempts at art!! They are in order as the picture lists!!

China Glaze ~ Shell We Dance?

Good afternoon my friends! For the past few months I have doing nail mail swaps with Mildred. (@millnpolish on instagram). She has cheaper access to my favorite main stream brand and I have... Well, depends on the time of swap! Yesterday I received a package from her with 5 of the 6 polishes from the China Glaze Sea Goddess collection. The only one I am missing now is Sand Dolla Make You Holla. I should have it pretty soon ;) Today I have Shell We Dance? I am such a sucker for textured polish. I just love it so much!!! This one did not disappoint! I used 3 thin coats of this dusty, matte, rosy color. Even though it is matte, it has quite the sparkle and shimmer. In fact it doesn't even look too matte at all. More an effect of the texture. And for a textured polish goes on very smoothly. I feel that CG has definitely upped their textured game! I did use top coat on my ring finger but I skipped it on the rest so you could get an idea of just how textured this polish is. I cannot wait to swatch and show you the rest :D This polish has small metallic silver and rose glitters and a slight shimmer that just make this polish pop! See for your self and let me know what you think!!

Julep ~ Lizanne

Who got their Julep Maven box?!?! Well, hopefully everyone has because it took me a week or so to get to posting this. I am an it girl :) What type of box do you get? This month I was actually going to cancel my box but forget, then it showed up! I am actually super glad it did because I absolutely love the colors this month! I did also get a cotton candy flavored old fashioned candy stick but my 8 year old daughter pulled the wrapper off and shoved it in her mouth before I could even read the label!! So for this post I will have Lizanne. Lizanne is a dark greenish teal color with a green shimmer. I drooled over this in the bottle... wasn't so happy with the final outcome on the nail. It lost a lot of shimmer even when I applied Glisten & Glow H K Girl fast drying & super shiny clear top coat (which as you shall see in an upcoming post on my experience)!! I even tried to use a matte top coat, as you will see on my pinky, also to no avail. Still, it is a nice color and from what I have seen so far (I don't own it) it looks a lot like O.P.I's   Amazon...Amazoff. Just more on the green side. This polish applied OK. It wasn't finicky but it wasn't nice either. Dry time was average. I used 2 coats of this crème polish for these pictures. Check them out and let me know what you think in the comments :)

Inspired by @rachell_rachell

Hi lovelies <3 I hope so far everyone is having a wonderful day!! I am in high spirits today and excited to show you my "inspired by" manicure!! On instagram I follow this super talented lady! her ig name is @rachell_rachell. Definitely go give her a follow!! Today she posted these awesome nails that I had to recreate. I will show you hers and then mine. They differ in color but are pretty much the same. For my nails i used 3 coats of Sephora by O.P.I  looks like rain, dear. I topped that with my Glisten & Glow HK girl fast drying and super shiny clear top coat.(A review of that will be coming soon). After that I used nail tape to place in a chevron design. The colors I used for the ombre effect are Rimmel French white tip, Sinful colors sweet tooth, China glaze spontaneous, China glaze coconut kiss, and China glaze VII. Maybe someday I will do videos and tutorials but until then feel free to ask questions in the comments!!! I topped my design with my G&G top coat and I just love it. I hope you all like it as much as I do!!! :)
