LE Polish ~ Polish Pickup February 2018

                                                                          *Provided for review

Hello!! I have a new to me brand to show you tonight. So, this Polish Pickup thing is no joke! 50 or so bands participate each month 😳 If you are not a member of this amazing Facebook group, click HERE and join! For now let's talk about LE Polish. What a fabulous introduction to a new brand of indie polish. And, Allison lives in CT like I do. In fact, I live where she grew up and she lives where I grew up lol! Seriously what are the chances. Anywho, let's get to the polish.

The theme for the month of February is "Sugar Rush". Allison grabbed her inspiration from this iconic Marilyn Monroe pic with bubblegum 💗 Pop! is a holographic base with pink to orange to gold color shifting flakies and lots of hot pink micro flakes. Seriously, a chameleon polish. It's not intentional by the maker, but when I first got this on I thought it was copper and gold flakies in a holo base with micro red glitters and a blue flash. Yo... I was way more than wrong. At least I knew it was holo! Pop! has a fantastically smooth formula. I used 3 thin coats, for full coverage, and top coat for my swatch.

For the art I used OPI Hey, Baby and Winstonia Store stamping plates W112 &W105.

Pop! and all of the other goodies available from Polish Pickup will only be available from February 2nd-5th! Mark your calendars!! As of now, this polish does not have a cap! Make sure it's on your list and your calendars are marked! This is only available for a few days so don't miss it. Have a great night ❤

Dr.'s REMEDY ~ Fall 2017 Duo

                                                                         *Provided for review

It's Monday y'all. I haven't done much at all this weekend. I did go to my dad's yesterday for dinner, but that's it. Chili and football! What could be better? Some real fall weather would be nice! Even up here in CT it is still so humid and uncomfortable. Back to work though :) So, I have done posts for Dr.'s REMEDY before so I'm just gonna grab you the info then get right to the swatches! Who else loves copy &paste??

"Dr.'s REMEDY offers over 30 different shades of nail color along with nail care products such as base coat, top coat, cuticle care and a nail hydration. Each product is infused with a special blend of ingredients selected by Dr. Cirlincione and Dr. Spielfogel. This blend includes: wheat protein, tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract and lavender. Dr.'s REMEDY products do not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor or pthalates or DBP. Dr.'s REMEDY is the best alternative to traditional nail polish."

The first of the 2 fall shades is POISED Pink Champagne. This one is a frosty, pearly, pink tinted champagne color. If you have watched my swatch video for these, you saw how messy I painted. It's mostly because this type of polish finish will leave brush stokes if not done right. I went for short, fast, straight strokes. Ill take the extra polish on my cuticles though because the polish is worth it. The formula is just superb for this frosty type of polish <3 For my swatch I used 3 coats plus top coat. It will be opaque in 2 coats but I used the third to make sure I covered any streaks.

The second half of this duo is a divine red with a purple shimmer. Oh ya... It's good <3 CHEERFUL Cherry is a magnificent crème formula. 2 perfect buttery coats and you are good to go. Now, as amazing as this polish is, it stains the skin pretty bad. You have to polish carefully so it doesn't touch the skin at all, or as little as possible. When removing this polish, put your cotton ball (or whatever you use) with remover, straight on the nail and DON'T MOVE IT. If you rub it side to side it will just rub the red into your skin. After it sits for a minute or two, apply a little pressure and wipe straight down. It should avoid the red getting on your cuticles that way!

I did some quick stripey art with these as well!!

Overall, I love these. I don't love the fact that the red stains the skin, but I will just be extra careful when using it. I urge you to go check out the Dr.'s REMEDY site. This is polish made by doctors and there is just so much information on their site. They offer more than polish too! Make sure you check it all out then come back and let me know what you think!! I have some fun collections coming up so I'll see you soon :) Have a great week <3

To the swatches!! I was sent 3 colors and a top coat. My first impression was great! they are nice bright shades. Lets see how they held up!

First we will start with Forever Girl. This is the newest shade for Spring 2016. I feel that the formula was a little bit patchy. This is very common though in lighter pinks so its not a big deal. I used 3 thin coats for my swatch with Peace, the daniPro top coat. Forever Girl dries really fast and shiny on its own but I had to test the top coat!! Very pretty bright baby pink polish.

3 coats of Forever Girl with Peace top coat

I added stamping using the shade My Girl also from daniPro.

Next is My Girl. My Girl is a bright medium pink. Such a bold crème polish. I used 3 thin coats plus Peace top coat. My girl also dried very quickly and shiny. Great formula.

3 coats of My Girl with Peace top coat

I added stamping to this with a black polish.

The last color I have is First Kiss. A bright tomato red crème polish. The formula was perfect and it dried fast and shiny. Seems to be the thing for this brand! 2 thin coats with Peace top coat.

2 coats of First Kiss with Peace top coat

And again I added stamping to this polish with a holo polish!

The top coat, Peace, was a huge shocker for me! It is super shiny, it dries fast and there was no shrinking at all! It was even pretty good with not smudging my stamped designs!

Overall, I love these polishes. They are great quality. They are a little pricey. The suggested retail price is $18.50USD each. I would not pay that for a regular polish. This polish, however, has some serious benefits! Especially during the spring and summer months. The colors are very bold and there are 20 colors overall. Will you be trying this new brand?? I will leave all the links below so you can get more informed and decide for your self! Hope you enjoyed this review! Let me know in the comments!
