PolishTBH ~ Polar Express

Here is the second polish I grabbed from an instagram destash. Polar Express from PolishTBH. It is a dark denim blue polish with gold glitters that dries matte. I love this polish so much. I have been searching for a blue polish that looks like jeans. I don't know why but I just had to have one. I was so excited to see that I had finally found my perfect denim polish without even knowing it!! This polish applies like butter. It is so smooth!!! I took a macro shot of this and it looks textured but its not. I really am not sure what made it look like that. maybe the glitter? I took pics with it matte and shiny. I prefer it matte. just out of the bottle perfection. this is a retired polish but I happen to see Chrissy say that she would never turn down a custom order! ;) Good for me because I will need more of this. check out my pictures and leave a comment!!! :)

PolishTBH ~ Sugar Plum Fairy

This polish I picked up in a fellow ig'ers destash sale. Lauren had this and another PolishTBH polish from the holiday collection that I scooped up as fast as I could!!! When I received the package it also had 2 minis from Mod Lacquer!! How sweet was that?! I will get to the minis in another post but just to give you a preview, I LOVE the glitter topper!!!!! Anyways, this is Sugar Plum Fairy. Its a deep orange polish with tiny gold glitters. It actually wasn't exactly what I expected but I couldn't find many swatches to check it out. I thought it was going to be a little more pinkish. Either way, I really do like this a lot. Its a unique color and I love the finish when its dry. Without topcoat its not really shiny but not quite matte either. Somewhere in between. I also have pics with shiny topcoat and a matte top coat. I prefer this one shiny. The formula is one of the best I have tried!! I used four coats for these pictures. I would rather use thin layers and extra coats than thick layers and less coats. it just dries better and more uniform. So, here are my pics!! let me know what you think :)

This pis was with matte coat on the ring finger and shiny topcoat on the rest

Zoya ~ Stevie

Hi ladies. As promised here is the amazing Stevie!! I picked this up with my last Zoya order. I had been wanting this for quite some time now. Not sure what took me so long to get this one. It is worth every penny :) It took me 3 coats until it was opaque. But it dries super fast so you wont have to wait forever between coats. It has a matte textured finish with silver micro glitters. I love love love this!!!! Lets get to the pics!!

Inspired by @rachell_rachell

Hi lovelies <3 I hope so far everyone is having a wonderful day!! I am in high spirits today and excited to show you my "inspired by" manicure!! On instagram I follow this super talented lady! her ig name is @rachell_rachell. Definitely go give her a follow!! Today she posted these awesome nails that I had to recreate. I will show you hers and then mine. They differ in color but are pretty much the same. For my nails i used 3 coats of Sephora by O.P.I  looks like rain, dear. I topped that with my Glisten & Glow HK girl fast drying and super shiny clear top coat.(A review of that will be coming soon). After that I used nail tape to place in a chevron design. The colors I used for the ombre effect are Rimmel French white tip, Sinful colors sweet tooth, China glaze spontaneous, China glaze coconut kiss, and China glaze VII. Maybe someday I will do videos and tutorials but until then feel free to ask questions in the comments!!! I topped my design with my G&G top coat and I just love it. I hope you all like it as much as I do!!! :)

Zoya ~ Beatrix

Hello and welcome to what may possibly be my favorite Zoya pixie dust so far! I really wasn't looking at this color much because I'm not a huge orange fan. My husband kept saying that he liked it and thought I should get it. I gave in because I couldn't make up my mind for my last choice and I figured if I didn't like it I could send it to Sally. I know she likes orange:) Always when I get new polish the first thing I do is swatch it on a piece of paper. When I finally got to this one I was just wowed. It almost looks like a coral color with golden shimmer. It gets more of an orange color as the coats build but it is pretty sheer. This took 3-4 thin coats. Mostly 3 but 4 on a few that needed touching up. I can not wait to wear this in the summer. It is the perfect beach color!! See for yourself

Zoya ~ Chita

Hey there friends! I have gotten super spoiled lately. My husband just cant help himself. Which is the worst because I cant help myself when it comes to polish!! There was a major Zoya promotion recently for 3 free polishes!! All you had to pay was $12 for shipping and handling!! So my husband let me get three then created an account in his name and told me to get a few more!!!! When he says yes I don't hesitate. I asked my nail bestie Sally what she liked and hooked her up! I chose for her Stevie and Blaze. Stevie is a pixie dust textured polish and Blaze is a holographic polish. These will be her first Zoyas!! And that's just the Zoyas! I was also able to pick up some new indies which I will be getting swatch of soon so keep an eye out for that!! What I have for you now is one of the polishes I picked for myself from the Zoya sale. This one is Chita. Chita is a dark forest green with silver micro glitters that could totally be a one coater. I used two because I prefer my coats to be very thin. If you wanted to use a thicker coat just one should do. I also did not use top coat. This dries to a textured matte finish that is just the best. If you don't own any Pixie dust polishes from Zoya I strongly suggest you get one. In my opinion they are the best textured polishes by far!!! My skin looks a little red but I think after I did these swatches I made it better so bare with me on that. I'm working on making my lighting much better for the sake of these beautiful polishes. Check out Chita.

My new Helmer and work space :)

Hello my awesome friends!! I wanted to share with you some more personal stuff than my nails :)  I recently counted and organized (by brand, no color order) my polish collection.  The official tally was 549!  That was not including basecoats, topcoats, treatments, and some minis. I did include my indie minis just because they are indies, ya know??  They have more value to me I guess. personal value not monitary just so we are clear :)  Anyways, I am talking in past tense because I belive I have gotten 5 or 6 sense then!!  That was when my husband said, "time to get you a helmer! There is no place left to put them!" OK!!!!!! We ended up making a date day out of it because it was about an hour and 40 minutes each way to get to Ikea from our apartment. So while we were out there we ate and store hopped. To my surprise, the polish shopping wasn't great. I have better options around me. but I did get my helmer!!  So here is what I think about it after having it for almost a week.  It comes unassembled so the metal has to be bent and wheels attached and all that. Which is fine for me!  I love to be handy around the house!! Its so fun :)  It took me about 45 minutes from opening box to totally done. I really do love the red color.  Its so bright and so me! Most of my polish fit in those six small drawers.  I couldn't believe it. I also did not realize how heavy polish really is!! Which brings me to my only complaint so far... the drawers are a little flimsy.  I filled each drawer fully so if I want a polish from the back I have to open it all the way.  When I do this the drawer kind of tilts to the side a little like if I let go it would fall out. Now I didn't expect it to be super solid but I figured it would be like a tiny filing cabinet. Mostly it is except for that. But I think I can live with that if I just use it carefully. It really hold so much in such a little space. I tucked mine between my desk and my wall. Perfect. I keep my desk in the living room because me and my husband are big movie fans and that's usually what we do when I paint my nails :) Alright, to the pics!! Enjoy my little slice of happiness!! Here is my desk area.
This is drawer 1: indies, lotion, clean up brushes.
Drawer 2: julep, w n' w, rimmel, OPI, nina, nyc
Drawer 3: sally hansen, fingerpaints, funky fingers, milani.
Drawer 4: orly, sinful colors.
Drawer 5: rest of sinful colors and china glaze.
Drawer 6: more milani, klean colors, avon, and a bunch of random singles.
Top drawer of desk: last of my china glaze and my zoyas
Top of my desk:
And my super messy tool drawer: tons of randoms :) stickers, tape, scissors, nail vinyls, toothpicks, sponges, gems, studs, stamper, lip stuff.
Leave me a comment if u have any questions or want different shots or details :)

Sinful Colors ~ Blue Persuasion

Of the 4 textured Sinful Colors I have so far, this is my favorite by a long shot!!! Again this is really weird for me since my 2 least favorites are the pink and purple. I like them both but wait until you see this one!! Its this awesome dark blue with pink glitters :) As with the green one this needed 2 coats and dried super fast to a matte textured finish. I got an awesome macro of this one for you!!! I highly recommend this polish if you don't have it already!!! Get ready to drool... ;)
