Vintage SinfulColors ~ Morning Dew & Sheer Legend

                                                                               *Purchased by me.

Hi friends!! I have been MIA! I went on my anniversary trip, then the day I came home I got a chest/head cold. I did, however, strike gold while we were in New Hampshire. Recently, I joined an amazing SinfulColors group on Facebook. Please join Sinfully Polished Nails HERE if you love Sinfuls!! Since joining this group, I have been introduced to vintage SC. I never realized that the SC I have now are a newer version. I was automatically on the hunt to find some of these. I had no idea how soon that would be.

With all the saving we did for our vacation, actively looking for new polish was out of the question! We did have certain things we wanted to do though while out of state. My husband has wanted to get me to this awesome place called Headlines. We always miss it because of the time or route (we frequent NH often). This time we planned our ride home around it. We spent at least 90 minutes just looking around. With all the money pretty much gone, we were just there to look. We got to the last shelf we hadn't looked at, and right there were 7 bottles of polish. All SinfulColors, and 5 of them vintage!! I may have squealed a little. I grabbed each one. There were only 2 colors, the rest were repeats. Thankfully we saved like $10 for snacks. Who needs snacks on a 7 hour drive???? Not this polish addict :) Of course, the minute I got home I had to swatch them! Ok, No more rambling. Onto the polish!

Let's look at #222 Morning Dew. She is a sandy colored nude with matching shimmer and a frosty finish. For such an older polish, the formula was flawless. I used 3 coats plus top coat.

I added some art using #961 Fig and #1199 Song Of Summer. I used Winstonia 4th generation plate W403 and my long, clear stamper from Polished Vino.

Lastly, we have #230 Sheer Legend. Right in the name it says that it's sheer but it wasn't too bad! This one is an olive/khaki nude with a pink shimmer and a frosty finish. Again, the formula was super smooth. I used 3 coats with top coat.

I did some more stamping! It's just so easy and beautiful! I used #1178 Truth Or Dare to stamp with. The plate I used was from Born Pretty Store BPL-003 and as always I used my long, clear stamper from Polished Vino!

So, what did you think? Honestly, they aren't the type of colors I would typically go for. But, when faced with something that is no longer made, you buy, then deal with it later lol! Luckily, the colors I got are neutral so it will be easy to pair up for art and the like. I will leave links below to what I used in this post! I hope you all have a wonderful week :)

SinfulColors ~ Stoned Crystal Shimmers Part 2

*Purchased for me by my husband :)

Hey loves! This will be a super quick post! Instead of saying exactly the same as the last post, I'll just leave the link HERE for you to check out SinfulColors Stoned Crystal Shimmers Part 1. Quick recap; great formula, tons of iridescent flakies, swatches are 2 coats with top coat.

Gotta Terra Cotta is a medium dusty rose color. Love this one!

Super Cooper is a gorgeous sagey green. Ladies are going nuts over this one. I can totally see why!

Tealing Power is next. This is more of a crelly than a crème like the rest of the polishes in this collection. Still a wonderful formula. This is the one that had to be edited. I could not get this to photograph color accurate. The macro picture is the closest!

Namaste The Night. I love names like this :) This one is a muted plummy purple.

Of this whole collection, I think my favorite would have to be Desert Reign. It is just such a flattering color <3 If, and when, I find the rest of these beauties, I will be adding a part 3! Like I said in part 1, check your local Rite-Aid! They seem to be where the majority of these are being found. All Of SinfulColors links are below!! Let me know in the comments which was your favorite and if you have found them all :) Thanks for stopping by!!

SinfulColors ~ Stoned Crystal Shimmers Part 1

*Purchased for me by my husband :)

Hello! I hope everyone is having a good week so far! Today I bring you a new collection from SinfulColors. This is the first collection from SC that I loved so much I needed them all! Well, come to find out there are more than the 8 I have to show you. Now I am on a mission! For now, let's check out the ones I do have. First let me start with the formula. They are all the same except for 1 and I will note it when the color comes up. All of them are a dream to work with. They required no more than 2 smooth coats. My swatches are 2 coats with top coat. They all have the same abundant amount of iridescent flakies. I am pretty sure they are iridescent. They look different with each base color. This makes each of them unique and gorgeous! *I did have to edit the color on some of these pics. I will let you know which when we get there.

Let's start with Desert Reign. This is a gorgeous mauvey, dusty purple color. Super gorgeous neutral shade.

Just Deserts is a soft peachy nude. Again, super flattering neutral polish.

Clay Me is a unique mix of coraly orange and burnt orange. This is a love it or hate it color. I love it :)

Last one for today is Thera-Pewter. A delicate dove grey polish with blue undertones.

I will have the second part of this posted soon! For now make sure you check your local Rite-Aid!! That is where I found mine and I also hear of lots of others having good luck at this store!! Links for SinfulColors below :)

Joy Lacquer ~ Know It. Fight It. End It.

Hi guys! I have been under the weather and I cant sleep so here I am. I want to show you a polish and cuticle butter I just won in a giveaway! Joy Lacquer is a new to me indie polish brand. I love trying new things. Especially when they impress! The polish is just amazing. I used 3 thin coats of Know It. Fight It. End It. plus my HKGirl top coat. This polish is a blurple metallic that has a great formula. Brush strokes are a little visible but not too bad at all. My favorite thing about this polish is that it stamps! I did some stamping over SinfulColors Alfresco and the colors matched beautifully. The stamping itself is terrible because I was trying my new marshmallow stamper. For some reason the firm stamping heads pick up sooooo much better for me!

Matte Orange Cuticle Butter is the second thing I want to show you. It is the best thing ever! I have been strictly using my Bliss Kiss Simply Pure Nail Oil and my Burt's Bees cuticle cream. My nails have been pretty good so far. Then this! I have stopped using my Burt's Bees and I don't plan on buying it anymore. This balm is much more firm and way less greasy. The smell is so very subtle, yet very fresh. This cuticle butter and my oil are a match made in heaven. The packaging is so tiny and cute. Super convenient. Its is also available in bigger sizes and other scents. I grabbed this little piece of info from her shop site, "Matte Orange Cuticle Butter is a firmer formula and contains a bit less oil than your normal cuticle butters, but is just as beneficial.  It's base is shea and cocoa butter with grapeseed oil added.  The fragrance is blood orange essential oil and is found to be very soothing and subtle.  Matte Orange is perfect for those who do not want a shiny look on their fingertips." I am now totally hooked. I will be trying this in other scents but because of the matte quality this one has, I will be keeping it as a staple for swatching. Moisturized cuticles without the oil slick shine!

This, and the next picture, were taken right after washing my hands and applying the Matte Orange Cuticle Butter. I used no other products in these pics.

Please, please, please, go give this shop a look and follow the social media accounts! This is a highly underrated indie that needs to be shared! If you already own a Joy Lacquer, tell me what is the must have shade? Links below!!

SinfulShine ~ Shining Couture

FRIDAY!! Any good plans for the weekend? I will be doing absolutely nothing. Boring adulthood...  Today I am bringing you a quick swatch from SinfulColors SinfulShine line. Just to put it out there, SinfulColors and SinfulShine do not have spaces between the words. I don't know why but I have swatched for the company and they specifically asked for it to spelled that way. The polish I have today is called Shining Couture. I received this for free for testing purposes from PINCHme. They are a sample testing site that I use often. I get things from polish and lotion, to deodorant and cat food! All they ask in return is an honest review. Easy peasy. I was also given the Step 2 which is the SinfulShine top coat. This line of polishes is supposed to have the gel like finish but without the light usually needed for gel nails. I really didn't see any difference from my HKGirl topcoat. They are both very shiny. That is where the similarities stop though. It is not fast drying at all! I cant say much about lasting power because no polish has lasting power on these hands lol! As far as the actual polish, it also wasn't very special. Very pretty but nothing about it stands out. It is a deep blue jelly polish with huge amounts of gold micro flakies. So much so that it leans green. My swatch is 3 thin coats with Step 2 top coat.

Shining Couture macro. This shows a visible nail line but in person you couldn't see this at all.

So what do you think? I am still unsure of this line. I will have to try more to form a fair opinion. SinfulColors are available almost everywhere! Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreen's, Rite Aid, etc. Let me know in the comments what color from this line I should get next!! Have a good weekend!!

SinfulColors ~ A Class Act 2015

Provided and purchased for review! Also very picture heavy!!

Hi! Tonight I have this super awesome post to share! Back story: SinfulColors was my first polish purchase when I stopped biting my nails. 3 years later and I still get at least 2-4 per month! It is a wonderfully cheap brand that is great quality and available pretty much anywhere I shop! When I received an email about swatching a few of their new polishes from the back to school collection, I was doing back flips!!! What an honor right?!?! I was given the choice of my favorite 10 out of 27. some are new and a few were re-releases. Such as 24/7, Daredevil, and Fig. I can get those at my local Walmart so I opted for some new ones! I will actually have 11 here because my husband saw one at my local Rite Aid and took the gamble that it wasn't one I had already chosen! Luckily he did get one I didn't pick :) Lets get started!
Feel The Vibe is described as a bright splash of juicy orange. I used 3 thin coats of this crelly like polish with top coat. It is a very smooth carrot orange. Perfect for Halloween!!

VIPeach is described as a soft touch pastel yellow. I used 3 thin coats. So much more manageable than your average yellow polish!! Very buttery demi-matte yellow. No top coat.

Chalk It Up is a saturated, demi-matte pistachio green. I used 3 thin coats with out top coat. It is a very dusty almost retro type green! Beautiful!

Summer S-cool is a robin's egg blue. Super shiny on its own but I did use 2 perfect coats then top coat. This is the most perfect sky blue.

Blue Sensation is described as a lustrous silvery sky blue. Not sure I agree. To me it looks just like a light pair of denim jeans. Which is totally appropriate given the back to school theme!  It even has the demi-matte, satin type finish. This is a 1 coater if your slow and steady. I used 2 coats and I will show you with and without top coat!

With top coat

Macro with top coat.

A-Crush is described as a soft baby blue in a unique demi-matte finish. It is much more periwinkle than blue in my opinion. This is the one my husband bought for me and I am so glad he did because I love it!!

Truth Or Lavendare. This one was not my favorite. It is described as a demi-matte creamy lavender. To me it is just the average light purple. The finish is definitely unique, but the color? Not so much. 2 coats with out top coat.

This picture is way more color accurate! My camera doesn't care too much for purples lol.

Pink Break is described as a demi-matte peachy pink. The most accurate description by far! This was a little streaky for me. 3 coats.

Now for the glitters!! I decided to put these over Black On Black, Snow Me White, and two other colors (all SinfulColors brand!) that will be listed with the pics! The glitters are iridescent and change colors depending on lighting and background.
Late Night Haute is a turquoise and gold flecked 3-D glitter. It has hex glitter, bar glitter, and shard glitters in a very sheer turquoise jelly base. I used 2 thin coats over the listed colors. I also used 2 coats of top coat to smooth out the glitters.
Base colors pointer to pinky: Snow Me White, Summer S-cool, Rise & Shine, and Black On Black.

Polish drop macro!

Sinful Sunrise is described as a warm pink with silver 3-D glitter. This sheer pink jelly has hexes, bar, and shard glitters. I used 2 thin coats over the colors listed and 2 coats of top coat to smooth the glitters.
Base colors pointer to pinky: Snow Me White, Pink Break, Outrageous, and Black On Black.

Polish drop macro!

Last, but actually my favorite of the 3 glitters, is Night Owl. This one is described as a multi colored gilded 3-D glitter. As well as the other glitters, this sheer purple polish holds hex, bar, and shard glitters. I used 2 coats over the colors listed then 2 coats of top coat to smooth out the glitters.
Base colors pointer to pinky: Snow Me White, Truth Or Lavendare, Volcanic, and Black On Black.

Polish drop macro!

Of all of these polishes I think Chalk It Up and Summer S-cool are my favorite. The demi-matte finish being somewhere in between matte and glossy is my favorite thing about these polishes. I will now be on the hunt for the rest of them! They can be found for $1.99 each at Walgreens and other mass retailers for the months of August and September!!  Which ones will you be choosing?? Make sure you are following all of SinfulColors social media for updates!! Link for that and for shopping below!! :)
