Crabtree & Evelyn ~ Black Tulip

Hello again my lovely friends! I am just on a roll! This time I have a new brand to me, Crabtree & Evelyn! I had no idea they even made nail polish. My husband works at Foxwoods Resort & Casino and while we were shopping there the other day we saw these by the register in the Yankee Candle store!! Great gifts by the way ;) In the rack there were about 10 colors but none seemed unique. I did find 2 though that I liked enough to try. I really am so glad I did too. The one I chose was this one. Its called Black Tulip. In the bright lights of the store it looked like a brownish, plum sheer base packed with fuchsia flakies. It looked familiar but it totally called my name. When I finally got home I realized that it is just a sheer brown base! All the plumy color came from the glow of the flakies! They are just so bold in this polish!  Then, it got better!! The flakies shifted color to gold then green! Multi chrome flakies are super hot right now on the indie scene and I found one at my husbands work lol! It is amazing and I totally recommend this brand of polish! All of my pics are 3 thin coats with top coat. 2 coats would have worked but I am just picky like that lol. I added some glitter placement and star studs because GLITTER AND STARS!

Best Silver Holos Ever!!!

Hi friends!! 2 nights in a row! Weird right? Well, today has been a good day and last night I had time to do some swatches for this post I have had in my head for a while. Seems holographic polish and/or glitter is THE thing to have for any kind of manicure! Since my husband works and I stay home, I don’t have tons of money for indies. But, it just so happens that the silver holo polishes/glitters I do have are some of the best and/or most sought after! Wow, lots of slashes lol!! On with the post! First up, bottle shots:

PAINTED POLISH "DRUNK ON HOLO"
This polish is the olny one of the four made of square micro glitters! It is also the only one with a flat wide brush. These things really stood out. The only thing I can say about this polish is that it took a little extra to fully coat the nail. This was 3 thick coats with topcoat. There are other ways to get better glitter coverage but for this post I wanted to highlight the polish for itself. It was very smooth for so much glitter. Laid totally flat and only needed one thin coat of topcoat to smooth it over.
FANTASY MAKERS LOOSE GLITTER "GLITZ"
This one was a little different. I put base coat on the nail then sprinkled the glitter over my nail. I didnt press down or anything. I just let it do its thing! After about a minute I used a fan brush to brush all the excess glitter off. Another 3-5 minutes later I did the same thing over again. No pressing and no topcoat! I love the texture it left. Im sure I could have smoothed it with topcoat. I just didnt want to lol. This is a hex micro loose glitter.

ORLY "MIRRORBALL"
this one has been flying off of store shelves everywhere its sold. This polish is a silver linear holo polish with mini silver holo hexes. What a super stunner!! I have already used this to make Christmas ornaments and a bunch of manis. I need a backup. Then I need a backup of the backup. Not for me but for a lucky someone else!! So lets all take a moment of silence and pray I can find more!!!!! This can be worn over any color to make it holo or on its own in 3 thin coats. I have it here alone (3 coats) with topcoat.

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL "PRINCESS"
Last but most certainly not least is this beauty right here!! Princess is super close to Drunk On Holo. I used 3 coats for this with top coat. It is made up of hex micro glitters. This laid nice and flat and had total coverage in 3 thin coats. It also smoothed out with just 1 thin coat of top coat!

So, which is your favorite? I dont think I could decide! I am just happy I have them all :)

MTL Creations ~ Northern Blizzard

Hey there! How is the holiday shopping going? Hopefully, mine will be finished on Sunday!! Anywho! This post will be short and sweet as I am only reviewing this one polish right now. It is Northern Blizzard from My True Love Creations! This is a clear base polish with tiny holo hexes, medium black hexes, blue stars, and white diamonds. The formula of this glitter topper was wonderful! Its just what I expect now from Cherise lol. I have not had any reason to think otherwise :) For my swatch I used 3 thin coats of Blue Crelly from Jolie Polish. I then topped it with one coat of Northern Blizzard and a little bit of glitter placement. Heavier glitters sink... thats just the way it is! I know that alot of ladies just tip the bottle over for a few minutes to get the glitter to the top. For me, it gets to glitter full. Know what I mean? I didnt want layers upon layers of glitter. That just looks messy, not cute! So here it is!! More from Cherise's winter collection soon :)

Holiday themed animal print!

Hello! Are you in the holiday spirit yet? I am super pumped for Christmas :) Because of that I have been doing lots of manis with red and green! This one was super cute and fun! Not to mention super holo!! I have videos on my IG page that show how strong the holo really is! Just wanted to show you a few pics so no more words.... Enjoy :)

Neons For Life!

Hello friends :) Lately I feel like I just cant get enough neon! Neons will always be my favorite; but lately I haven’t really even looked at anything but my neons. I decided I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you! This will be picture heavy because I did different lighting and finishes. Let’s get right to it!
The first polish is Polish Addict Nail Color Candy Pop. This is the crelly version that I just won in a Random Act of Kindness giveaway! This polish is perfectly me. Literally Jenn in a bottle. for this swatch i used 3 thin and flawless coats plus topcoat. I cannot believe that I found a glitter packed polish that I really like!! Really, this is not neon. but it is bright and new so I wanted to share :)

Next one is a prototype polish from Drip Drop Nail Paint. It is number 1008. This is another amazing crelly and it does have neon glitter in it. Again for my swatch I used three thin coats and top coat. I also have a few more of Jessica's prototypes. She makes great polish so go check her out! And the label is one of the cutest thing I have seen from any indie polish!

Next up is Cameo Colours Lacquers Hex-Sea And I Know It. This is such a gorgeous polish with so much depth! Its a bold blue jelly polish filled with, duh, hexes!!! Awesome neon ones :) This one I matted for a few pics so you could see the layers of glitter better. Most definitely a must have!!

BLACKLIGHT GLOW SHOT!!!

The last one I want to show you is Honey Bunny Lacquer A Little Bitter. I had the hardest time finding a polish in my collection that would show off this glitter topper best. I ended up using a dark grey and an off white. i actually really loved the results of both. There are a ton of fun macros for this because everywhere I looked there were different glitters! Triangles, hearts and even the tiniest micro glitters. If you enjoy bright glitter in tons of shapes and sizes this is for you!! Take a look.

So, which is your favorite??

MTL Creations ~ Honey Dew Cuticle Oil

Hi everyone!! This post has been ready for some time. I just seem to have the worst luck with any type of technology :( I lost the pics I had so I took the closest ones to the start and finish of my 1 week using MTLCreations Honey Dew Cuticle Oil. Thankfully my husband has been a huge help at troubleshooting and I at least have these pics lol! Until I received this oil from Cherise, I had been using Bliss Kiss Simply Pure Hydrating oil, along with random lotions/creams that were nearby. Once I started using this I used ONLY this for 1 week. Let me start by giving you an idea of how my cuticles usually are, DRY!!!! My daily fluid intake is usually 3 cups of coffee. That's it lol. Besides that I suffer from OCD so I hand wash countless times a day. I would say that 20-25 is accurate for a calm day. That means I need a heavy duty oil!! This oil is very supple! It has a thickness to it so it didn't drip all over the place. It absorbs really fast though so no worries there! It doesn't soak in and disappear. It softens the skin and keeps that silky feeling for quite some time before needing to reapply. The scent that came for me was Honey Dew, a very subtle smell that is crisp and lasts. I even smelled it still after washing my hands. Barely, but it was there. This oil worked great for me. Now I use it just as much as my bliss kiss!! I would totally recommend this oil for nice soft cuticles! Cherise has awesome polish and sugar scrubs and hand crocheted items available in her shop so please go check her out and keep her in mind when thinking about holiday shopping!!! She has thermals coming out that look super amazing!! Stay tuned :)       Day 1:

My True Love Creations ~ Fall Collection

Hey ladies! How’s it going this Tuesday night? Hopefully good since it was really warm today! I live in CT so around here it was nice lol! Anyway, I got more polish to swatch from Cherise, owner and creator of My True Love Creations!! Sometimes she throws in a full sized polish which is super sweet to do considering its sent for swatching. :) She also sent a cuticle oil which I will be reviewing in another post after I use it a few more days! I even got my husband involved haha!! Check back to see how… On to the polish!!! I usually don’t do this but I will be giving a review of all the polishes then I’ll post the pics. I am doing it this way because besides the color, the polishes were all pretty much the same. The names of the polishes are Once In a Blue Moon, Apple Crush, and Foresta Lumina. There was also a gold glitter topper called Star Dust. The first 3 polishes are all holographic jellies!! I used 3 thin coats for each swatch and no topcoat. The formula, for jelly polish, was pretty smooth. The first coat is always a little tricky, but it built up and evened out beautifully by the third coat! The polish is full of scattered holo. What I really loved about it was that it wasn’t a super strong holo effect. In my opinion, the strong holo rainbow sometimes takes away from the color of the base polish. Now the glitter. This is something everyone should own!! It’s tiny glitters so it looks very feminine over anything! It could totally be built up if layered thinly or applied with a makeup sponge. I just love this so much! I’m sure you have heard me say before that I’m not a huge fan of glitter. This is my kind of glitter! I could wear this often. It’s not chunky and/or blingy. Here, I wore it over Loyal Made by Pure Nail Lacquer. Perfection :) Lets check these babies out!!!
