Moonflower Polish ~ August 2020 PPU

*This polish was provided for review

Hello!! How are we all doing? Staying safe and healthy I hope 🤞🏼 Where I am it is thundering and lightning so this is the perfect time to write about this amazing beauty from Nadia of Moonflower Polish

Lightning Crashes is a “dark purple base with purple-to-blue iridescent micro flakes and scattered holo. It can be used as a regular polish in 1-2 coats or as a stamping polish. Lightning storms over Orlando Florida. Meteorology is one of my favorite sciences. The area of Central Florida where I live is known as Lightning Alley because it's the spot with the most lightning strikes in the northern hemisphere. The unique shape of the peninsula means there's usually going to be a thunderstorm in the afternoon, due to the collision of sea breezes from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.” This is a deep grape color with blue flashes. It’s fantastic. I mean, I may be biased because blue and purple are my favorite polish colors, but I doubt it. The formula is perfect and only takes 1 coat. Could it get any better? YES! It stamps perfectly! I used one coat for these pics plus top coat.

Amazing right?!?! Polish Pickup’s theme is Weird Science and it will be open from August 7th - August 10th. Lightning Crashes will be $12.50 with a cap of 75 US and 5 UK.

LynBDesigns ~ June 2020 PPU

*This polish was purchased by me

Hey guys! How are we all doing? I'm doing really good! We just officially started the process of buying a house. There have been lots of pauses because of covid but we are finally on track. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment with a 5 month old so its a little cramped here. In the now house I will have my own nail room!! It's actually going to be called the "noffice". Half nail room, half office. Pretty much my nail room with the laptop and printer in there 😆 I'm psyched!! Wait, are we here for polish? Ok, let's get to it.

LynBDesigns was inspired by the Maui mule for the Cocktails & Mocktails theme. The Lei'd Back is described as a dark purple (cold) to denim blue (warm) to peach (hot) tri-thermal with red to green to gold shifting aurora shimmer, pink to gold shifting flakes, and violet to pink to copper to orange shifting flakes. Since we are buying a house funds are slim right now but I had to have this. I am such a sucker for a thermal polish. They are just so much fun. The formula on this is spectacular and the thermal effect changes with ease. I am sooooooooo glad I got this one. I used 3 thin coats for my pics.

Stella Chroma ~ Desert Scapes Collection

*These polishes were provided for review
*Picture Heavy

Hey y'all! How are we doing during these trying times? Pam from Stella Chroma thought it would be a good idea to continue with the colors to brighten spirits!! I more than love that because it's just so needed at this time. Anywho, I want to explain something before I get into the polishes. For all of my pics my lighting is exactly the same. I use an Ottlite 13W HD Slimline task lamp and a random desk lamp with an Ottlite bulb. My lights stay in the same place on my desk as well as my tripod. My lighting is all over the place with this collection. I'm leaving it as is because 1) they are color accurate (mostly), and 2) it shows the polishes at different angles, not just their best. I feel like people get cheated sometimes with those impossibly perfect swatch pics. Here you will see how they look in real life. I hope that no one minds! On to the polishes.

Pueblo - "Distinct structures made of stone, wood, and adobe mud look out of place anywhere but the desert. They blend in or stand out depending on the position of the sun. As it rises, it lends a bleached pinky tone to the mud walls and that’s the shade we modeled this color after. The gold/pink shimmer adds an extra touch." This one is so soft and feminine. The perfect sunset pink. Light pinks usually have an iffy formula but this was nice and smooth in 3 thin coats.

Most color accurate!

Cactus Bloom - "A buttery golden yellow with a gold/pink shimmer. Smooth and opaque at two coats. Inspired by the deep yellow blooms that contrast the deep green of a cactus." This seems to have many matches and they are all food lol. My husband said butterscotch, I said mac n' cheese and butternut squash. Seriously an awesome color. Totally unique with a gorgeous shimmer. The formula for this one is impeccable. I used 3 thin coats but 2 thicker coats would be fine.

Most color accurate!

Desert Turquoise - "I can’t think of the desert without thinking of bright turquoise stones. Either polished in jewelry or rough to the touch,  the striking color is unmistakable. Our color is highlighted with a blue/green shimmer." This is one of my favorites of the collection. The shimmer pops like crazy. It even shifts to blue at extreme angles. Such a fun stand out polish. I used 2 perfect coats.

Most color accurate!

Prickly Pear - "The fruit of a prickly pear cactus is normally found in a range of shades from bright pink to deep purple. It has been used as food and medicine in many desert climates for many years. This shade is a deep pink-ish purple with scattered holographic glitter." To me, this is actually very grapey. I have never even seen a prickly pear though so that's probably why. I have always said that pink is my favorite color but lately purple has taken over. I absolutely love this one. Especially with the glitter. 3 thin coats of buttery perfection for my pics.

Big Sky - "A vivid blue crème shade inspired by the endless summer sky. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a more beautiful blue than that of the sky above Chinle, Arizona. I tried to do it justice here." This one is my favorite because it really is super vivid. A perfect royal blue crème with an equally perfect formula. 2 coats for this beauty.

Most color accurate!

I never in a million years would have picked these colors for a collection but they totally work. They actually compliment each other very well.
